Being fascinated by the scenery and cycling environment of Kami Tomita, he has been operating the cycle station "KMICH" since 2020. We are actively working to spread the cycling course "Kumaichi" that goes around Kumano.
In addition, we have introduced rental of mountain bikes (E-motorcycles) with electric assist if you are not confident in your physical strength or want women to enjoy cycling casually.

I am guided by myself so that a wide range of people can enjoy the sense of accomplishment aiming for the goal while sweating and the sense of sprinting unique to cycling. Lectures not only on the course but also on how to use the E bike and the traffic rules of bicycles will also pay attention to enjoying cycling safely. This time Musubibito is a popular person loved by cyclists visiting Kumano with a bright and friendly personality.

What is Kamitomida?

Kamitondacho is located in the southwestern part of Wakayama Prefecture.
Located next to Shirahama Town and Tanabe City, the Tomita River flows in the center of the town, and it is a place rich in nature.
Kumano Kodo is a junction that divides into Nakaheji and Oheji. When you leave the seaside from Tanabe and enter Nakaheji, you will enter the mountain, so it is called Kuchikumano. Was.

Program contents 1. Cycling the original course of "Grand Mercure Wakayama Minabe" by E bike

In this cycling tour, you will use a mountain bike or E bike with electric assist. It is also attractive that even beginners of cycling and those who do not usually exercise much can participate with confidence. Not only the course explanation, but also the operation method and traffic manners will be firmly lectured before the tour, so even beginners can start without worry.

 

This is a 20km course designed by Mr. Seto for "Grand Mercure Wakayama Minabe". There is up and down up to about 53m, but since it is an E-motorcycle, you can easily get over the slope. When you get used to the E bike, you can run at a speed of about 15 to 18 km / h, so you can refresh your mind and body by sharpening your five senses such as superb view and wind.

 

Program contents 2. Learn the World Heritage Site "Kumano Kodo" from a professional guide

Kumano Kodo, a World Heritage Site, is a pilgrimage route for pilgrims aiming for Kumano Miyama. This time, we will go around the three princes of World Heritage in the middle of the cycling course. It is a greedy content that allows you to experience the exhilaration of running through the rich nature and the sense of fulfillment that touches the ancient history at once.
In this program, we will visit the princes that have been recognized as three World Heritage Sites.

 

People of "Kuto Kumano Kamitonda Guide Association" will guide you. A professional guide who has studied Kumano Kodo for many years, is still familiar with the literature, and conducts field surveys, will explain the history and background of each prince trace in an easy-to-understand manner.

 

In front of the last visit Prince Inaba, there is a "Mizugoriba". It was believed that by bathing in water and purifying the filth of the body, all sins so far disappeared. Currently, there is a place where you can experience scaling with your feet. After experiencing a part of the sacred practice of "water scale", take a break with Mr. Seto and his guides with seasonal sweets. The real pleasure of this tour is the time to talk while feeling the magnificent nature and history up close.

 

Program contents 3. Meet the superb view of "Kami Tomita" called Kuchi Kumano
In the middle of cycling, you can encounter a superb view of Kami Tomita called Kuchi Kumano.
■Superb View Point 1 Diving Bridge
A diving bridge over the Tomita River, where clear water flows smoothly. You will be healed by the calm scenery of a wide picture-like landscape woven by the sparkling water surface in the light of the blue sky, with the green mountains spreading behind it as a borrowed view.

 

■Superb view point 2 Feel the season with the five senses
In the middle of cycling, you can feel the rich nature of Kamitomida up close. Watch the trees where the plums, a specialty product of this area, grew steadily, feel the faint scent, the season full of water, the lush rice fields planted with seedlings, and listen to the voices of birds and cicadas. You can run through the rich nature of Kami Tomita using your five senses, such as the season.
