Minabe-cho, Wakayama Prefecture, is known as Japan's No. 1 plum production area.
In this event, we will use such plum branches unique to Minabe-cho to make New Year decorations suitable for the end of the year.
A time to look back on the year and prepare for a new year while touching the gentle texture of natural materials.
The completed New Year decoration can be taken home as a decoration for the New Year at home.
Please relax and enjoy the ingredients unique to Minabe-cho, Wakayama Prefecture and the Japanese spring culture.

This is an experience event by a local company Kishu Honjo Umeyoshi. - Remarks
- ・This event will be held only at the end of the year and limited to 5 groups.
・Advance reservations are required for materials preparation.
・The New Year's decoration to be produced will be 1 item per set.
・If a small child is participating, please be accompanied by a guardian.
・Please participate in clothes that do not disturb even if it gets dirty.
・Because the plum branches used are natural materials, there are individual differences in shape and size. Thank you for your understanding.

Contents of the event
New Year's decoration made of plum branches
In this experience, we will create a Kadomatsu-style New Year decoration made of plum branches using "Tochoshi", which is produced when pruning plum trees.
Taking advantage of the plum branches unique to Minabe-cho, it is characterized by a simple and warm finish that allows you to feel the Japanese prostitution culture.
Manufacturing that values the blessings of nature
By making use of branches that are usually difficult to use as materials, we are implementing them as part of SDGs initiatives that value resources.

The finished New Year's decoration is characterized by being able to enjoy it even after the New Year's is over.
