Wakayama Castle is a symbol of Wakayama City, where the castle tower stands on Tora Fushiyama. In the past, the castle tower was called 'Otenshu' in Wakayama dialect. → It was called "Otensu."
There are zoos and tea rooms on the grounds of the castle, as well as the history of the Kishu Tokugawa family, the restored bridge corridor, etc.
A pond spring garden in Wakayama Castle was built in the early Edo period.
It is designated as a national scenic spot, and is known as "Kojikei Garden" because you can see stunning autumn leaves in autumn.
Wakayama Castle is currently holding "Wakayama Castle-Corridor of Light", which creates the charm of Wakayama Castle at night throughout the four seasons!
