Kashima Shrine, which is close to the hotel, has plenty of pilgrimage events.
Beginning with the Saitansai ritual at 10:00 on New Year's Day, there is also a mochi-tsuki tournament in the afternoon.

Suga Shrine [Approx. 15 minutes by car / Minabe-cho]
It is said that during the Heian period, he recommended the god of Yasaka-jinja Shrine in Kyoto and worshiped it as the general guardian of Nanbu Sho. Suga Shrine's Hatsumode "Saitansai" starts at midnight on New Year's Day. From 1:00 pm on the 2nd, the annual horse run (cancelled rainy weather) will also be held.

Work Kei-jinja Shrine (about 30 minutes by car / Tanabe City)
This shrine has been registered as a World Heritage Site and has been built for more than 1600 years. Every year, about 50,000 people visit the Toeijinja Shrine, which is worshiped as a god of luck guidance, on the third day of the New Year.

Dojoji is home to Senju Kannon, which is designated as a national treasure, Nikko Bodhisattva, Gekko Bodhisattva, etc., and many worshipers visit the shrine. From midnight to 1:00 am on New Year's Day, the Hobutsuden and Engido will be open to the public free of charge.
