Kitsukyo Gorge
Kizetsukyo is a valley located upstream of the Aizu River in Tanabe City, where you can see fresh greenery and cherry blossoms in spring, cool rivers and waterfalls in summer, autumn leaves in autumn, and the beauty of the four seasons.
There are countless strange rocks of unique shape, large and small, and there are attractions such as the Fudo Falls at the end of Takimi Bridge. If you follow the mountain trail from Fudo Falls, you will see the "Cliff Three Great Stone Buddha" engraved on a huge monolith (16m high and 22m wide). The stone Buddha drawn based on the original painting of the painter Insho Domoto is stunning.
