Kizenkyo Gorge

Kizokyo| Grand Mercure Wakayama Minabe Resort & Spa [Public Holiday]

Kizetsukyo is a valley located upstream of the Aizu River in Tanabe City, where you can see fresh greenery and cherry blossoms in spring, cool rivers and waterfalls in summer, autumn leaves in autumn, and the beauty of the four seasons of valleys.
Numerous large and small strange rocks in unique shape are scattered everywhere, and there are highlights such as the Fudo Falls at the end of Takimi Bridge. As you proceed along the mountain trail from Fudo Falls, you will see the "Cliff Sanson Great Stone Buddha" engraved on a huge monolith (16m high and 22m wide). The stone Buddha drawn based on the original painting of the painter Insho Domoto is stunning.
